Hi dear ones!

MAYbe we will learn to lean more on the Lord this month! We pray so, for all of us. Time goes so very fast! We truly are grateful for all of you and need and appreciate your prayers and generous sharing with us! Thanks, really!

Bob did have the van overhauled and though it was expensive, it is working better. He had a good trip last week to Espinar region with a believer from here. They were able to help the believers there and encourage our worker, Nicolas. he is seeing the Lord work in the high, cold, isolated and poor area of Cayarani. We thank the Lord the believers there are growing. In a couple weeks, D.V., Bob and I plan a few days in the north of Perú, in Chiclayo. Bob will be speaking at a seminary there and we will be visiting with missionary friends and colleagues for a few days. I will miss a couple days of school, but I do want to go with Bob this time. Haven't been up there for years, and I hope to help some, too!

The school building is going up! We thank the Lord the 2nd floor has been roofed and the finishings will be done in a few weeks, D.V. We do pray for the Lord's provision for the construction of the third floor, too. This space is also necessary as the Ministry of Education requires space for workshops, library, and computer lab. Thanks so much for all your help so far in this construction. Again, we know the real building must be done in the students' lives. We continue to press on with this task with much prayer. It is not easy, especially in these days. God has given us a real spirit of unity this year so far, students, teachers, and parents. So the enemy attacks. A couple weeks ago our very good 4th grade teacher mistakenly tweaked a little boy's ear for misbehaving and not paying attention in class. The mother really is causing a scandal and insisting on the school firing the teacher. The teacher has asked forgiveness, though the little boy was truly not hurt at all. It is of course not permitted here, nor in the U.S. any more, to in any way physically punish a child in school. The little boy is quite used to doing whatever he pleases and really does need correction. He does not get it at home. From the beginning of the year the teacher was concerned about him because his reading is real slow and he doesn't want to improve. She has faithfully worked with all the class on getting the children reading and understanding better. I have this class for Christian formation (Bible) and I can see the progress in all areas. They are a sweet bunch, but a couple of the little boys are rowdy! This is normal for 9 yr. old boys! All the other parents love this teacher and really defend her but this one mother is threatening to sue the school and all. Even the little boy is happy and does not want the teacher to leave, so please help us pray that this mother will humble herself and not carry through with her threats. Her husband wants her to quit causing problems too. Still, right now it is a trial for the teacher, Marino and Lupe as directors, and all of us really. Please pray with us for peace and a continued good spirit, for the Lord. Also, one of our "senior" (last year) boys is kind of hotheaded. He is not a believer yet and I do think his dad wanted him in a Christian school to guide him right. He comes from a broken home, lives with his dad and has some resentments toward his mom. He also has severe scoliosis which causes some physical deformity and limitations. But he is real intelligent, just a bit rebellious. Well, we do need lots of prayer. I counselled and prayed with a precious 10th grade gal yesterday. She is really repentant and wants to please the Lord. Teens have problems, and it is very complex to work with today's youth! We are definitely seeing the results of lack of parental discipline, care, and nourishing. We need to reach today's youth for the Lord! This is the reason for our Christian school. Thanks for praying.

Besides the construction, a real need for the school is for some sponsors, to help needy children be able to be with us. Marino keeps the school monthly fees really low to be able to help the families from the lower income bracket, and we have many single parent students. 55 dollars a month is full fee for a student here with us. There are many who desire their children to be in Christian school but cannot at all afford it. Others are struggling to be able to pay some, and we do give scholarships when we can. We are preparing for our Mother's Day program next week. We do pray it will be glorifying to the Lord. These programs are opportunities to exalt the Lord. We thank Him for the freedom we have to do this!

And we do pray all you Moms will have a good Mother's Day! Again, thank you so much for praying and sharing with us! Our son Joe has created a website for us! Please visit us there at: bobandnoelrich.com Thanks!
