Hi to you dear ones!

Finally 2013 is coming to an end! It has been a very difficult year in many ways, but we have truly so much to be thankful for. God has certainly protected us here from the grave disasters experienced in other places. We pray for those still suffering from typhoon, earthquake, and other tragedies this year. We see God's hand in His work in all places and are thankful, because He is directing His own through every trial and blessing.

Our school year is winding down too. The kids are wild - this is the last week of classes, and final exams are starting. This week I hope to give most of my exams, Bible and English, to 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades! We had the graduation dinner for our 5 year olds last Saturday evening. I was their "madrina" and exhorted the parents and children some, encouraging them to raise these precious little ones for God. We live in very difficult days with many temptations, homes falling apart, etc. Please help us pray for our children growing up in this wicked world. This Friday evening should be our 6th grade graduation celebration. I will try to exhort parents and grads. to keep on believing and clinging to the Lord. It gets tougher as they get older, as adolescence is sure a crucial time in their lives. Thanks for praying for our final closing program as well, hopefully Dec. 23.

Bob has traveled some more to the Majes Valley and there is a couple there who are to be baptized the weekend of Dec. 14. Augusto is an older brother, blind, and his wife, Livia, are always receptive to God's Word when Bob goes. They give Bob meals and hospitality as well. Their teen son is also close to trusting the Lord fully. Thanks for praying for them.

Bob is traveling to Espinar this weekend for a wedding of believers there. Bob keeps busy traveling, but does a lot of teaching and counseling here too. We have another wedding Dec. 21 in our Cono Norte church here in Arequipa. Thanks for praying for these couples to form godly homes. Also this month, with the youth from our main church we are doing some distributions of Christmas bags with tracts or booklets, plus socks and candies, and little Christmas breads to some children's homes. Please pray for this outreach and testimony.

The new church in the neighborhood of San Lazaro in Arequipa is also doing ok, though they need prayer - as well as other neighborhood churches around the city, especially the one in Enace. Bob teaches there Sunday afternoons, but it does lack local leadership. Please continue to pray for the outreaches in Yarabamba and Polobaya. Our youth and others from the main church here visit these places and are seeing more come to meet together for Bible studies.

Truly we are very thankful for all you dear ones have prayed for and shared with us this year. May God richly bless you and give you a truly joyful holiday season, remembering God's great Gift to us, Salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord and King.

Serving Him, Christmas blessings, Noél for us
