Hi to you all, and happy holiday season!

Well, December is already going too fast! I had my eye surgery and it is healing. I will have to travel with the stitches still in though as Dr. says they should stay in for a couple months. Anyway it is getting better, and we are thankful! Bob had a lipoma removed from his left shoulder and that too is healing we trust. His stitches should come out next week, so soon we should have arms and eyes and all. These surgeries were expensive but necessary. The last of the "family" here to have an operation was the vehicle, which needed the clutch repaired. That wasn't real cheap either but for sure all this would have cost more in the U.S.

Bob had a short but profitable trip to the Majes Valley but has mostly been here really busy in counseling, teaching, preparing, etc. For me, final exams are taking up time but we are glad the school year is ending well. These past two weekends we have done distributions to a Christian children's home, (precious children and directors) and to the state boys home, (a much rougher group, but we had a chance to share Christ, so pray for results.) Our youth from the main Arequipa church dd a skit there and then divided the boys into small groups to discuss and share the Lord and His claims on us. Our youth did really well and we are glad they are serving the Lord.

Bob hears good news from the Espinar churches. Our national worker there, supported by our main Arequipa church, Daniel Sayco, is doing a good job evangelizing and encouraging the believers, teaching the new ones. They have had several baptisms there too. We are thankful for God's Word spreading and glad for open hearts. Other places are pretty indifferent. Some from our main church here are reaching out to the nearer towns and have seen some fruit but it is slower here than in the Espinar area. Thanks so much for praying for us and God's work here.

As to the school, the first phase of the new construction is almost done, and we trust the Lord to supply for the rest - hopefully next year. We are thankful for some good dedicated teachers - please help us pray for more for next year! We are thankful for the opportunities to teach God's Word freely here in the schools. Thanks for praying and sharing!

Our second granddaughter (Mark's second daughter, Jessica) is to be married Dec. 21. The Lord has provided for us to be able to go for this wonderful event in Florida. We have tickets to leave here Dec. 15, and return Feb. 24. So we hope to spend the holidays with our sons and family in Indiana, then later to visit some in the midwest and in Northern Va. with our daughter and family, and some visiting in the east too. Thanks so much for praying and sharing with us,we trust you are all well and will have a wonderful holiday season.

Thanks again, you dear ones, Christmas blessings, Noél for us
