|Hi again, y'all!
This time I must start out really thanking the Lord. Yesterday our building license for the school was granted, all signed and approved by tons of offices. This came after 8 months of waiting and praying, never imagining it would take so long. Thank you so much for praying for this. Wouldn't you know, just now the man in charge of the firm contracted for the demolition is out of town. I think he kind of gave up on us. But he has been contacted and will return later this week. So maybe the demolition will begin this weekend, and if not, it will be very soon. We trust then to get everything in order and begin building very soon. This is for our Christian school. Please help us pray for the school. Some of the high school girls are really at a silly stage, difficult to teach, with attitude problems. They had a real good retreat in July, but it is sad how quickly they can forget their commitments there. It is only 3 and a half months till the end of the year and they have a bit of "spring fever" too. We surely pray God's best for them, and really are thankful for the opportunity to work with them. We need patience and wisdom, and God will work in their lives. So many of the children (high school and grade school) come from broken homes and have real problems there. Many parents don't have enough for the monthly fees. We try to keep them really low, but we do need these fees to pay our dear dedicated teachers. Please help us pray.
Bob had some good trips last month, to the Puno area, to some of the Quechua communities there. He was able to encourage the believers. Now he is in a far, very high place called Culypampa for some meetings to encourage and teach the believers there. Some of the believers from Cotahuasi are there too as it is in the same province, but far from them too. Later this month Bob will be going to a town in the Colca canyon for some meetings, hopefully with believers from several neighboring towns around. Please help us pray for this ministry to our highland Quechua people. Also, please help us pray for the van. It is coming to the point where Bob truly would like to replace it. Alvaro knows of a newer van just like ours for sale at $15,000 which he says is in good condition. We don't know if Bob can sell his for maybe $12,000 or $13,000. There would be a difference of much more than we have, and none of this is confirmed. But please be praying with us. Bob really does need a good 4WD vehicle for the "roads" he has to go over to get to some of these places. It is such a blessing to be able to get there in a vehicle and take them Bibles, hymnbooks, other good materials, in Quechua and Spanish. Some of the roads are improved, but there are still many dirt almost just cowpaths (llama trails) where he has to drive over. Thanks for praying with us for this.
God supplied for some better recording equipment for the radio, and we truly are thankful for that. Now we need another computer to hook it all up to. Thanks for praying for that too. God does supply, even though we don't know how He will. And we thank Him.
Last time I mentioned Alvaro's health. Well, God answered our prayers to surprise the doctors and show that Alvaro doesn't have any aneurism or defective artery. The last tests came out well. Alvaro took the treatment and kept restrictions in diet, travel, etc., for the required time, and is now back in Chuquibamba serving through the radio and helping the believers there and in Aplao. Please thank the Lord with us and continue to pray for Alvaro and Rocssana's ministry in these areas. Please pray for all of our national workers. Three others are in the Quechua areas of Espinar, the Arequipa dept, and in the Caylloma province. They all have personal and family needs, plus the burden of the work, but are dedicated, needed servants. Please pray for God's supply for them too. Thank you.
Thank you so very much for praying for us and for sharing with us. We pray God's very best for each of you.
Blessings and Love,
Noél for us
