History
Since 1993 I have taught Bible and English in Christian schools. In 2004, the Billy Graham School was started and I was asked to help them. The administrators are lovely people and we were in a small rented building for a few years.
The school grew and there was no place for expansion. God opened a way for us to purchase 3 adjacent properties to our main church building. We changed the name to Ebenezer Christian School. Ebenezer means "This far the Lord has helped us!" We are continuing to grow, and are building on the property – praying for God’s provision for this – to complete construction of the needed classrooms.
The property is in the name of a non profit organization, and we are asking the Lord to continue helping us build these needed rooms. Praise God for the year 2011 we had over 250 students whom we have desire to win for the Lord and shepherd them and their families.
This is a tremendous opportunity, and now, my main ministry. I have spent hours preparing materials, for teaching God’s Word and English from a Christian viewpoint. It is really challenging, but a real open door to help form these precious lives for the Lord. Please help us pray for Ebenezer Christian school.
Purpose and Vision
This school was founded to provide high quality Christian education, emphasizing strong Christian values. We wanted the school to have a name that would be in harmony with its total dependence on the Lord and our thankfulness to Him.
Our desire is that He raise up “living stones” who will remain steadfast and faithful to Him, and who will have a solid foundation, firm convictions, and abiding Christian values for their entire lives.
In Bible times, the people of Israel pleaded with their judge, Samuel, to fervently pray for the Lord’s protection from their enemies. The Philistines had surrounded Israel with threats. Samuel did cry out to their Almighty God, and He miraculously delivered His people. Samuel then took a stone, and erected it in gratefulness to the Lord, calling it “Ebenezer”, which means: “This far the Lord has helped us.”
Today we lift up our school in gratefulness to our Lord God, because in spite of many obstacles, He is the Great Conqueror. Our desire is that He raise up “living stones” who will remain steadfast and faithful to Him, and who will have a solid foundation, firm convictions, and abiding Christian values for their entire lives.
We want to be able to guarantee an integral formation in education to our students, with motivated and prepared teachers, who are committed to excellence. These teachers should show evidence of their interest in stimulating the investigation of our environment, with Christian criteria, and be able to develop the many abilities of our students, strengthening their identity in the fear of the Lord. They should maintain courage and solid conviction in the face of the many challenges of our time, thus achieving personal motivation and success.
