Yes, when the saints go MARCHing in, we want to be in that number. It may be soon, so we must get ready, the Lord is coming soon.
Maybe some of you have heard of the disaster, flooding, sewage and drainage ditches with huge rocks coming in, knocking down vehicles, buildings, houses, apartments, and other properties. Arequipa and other districts have been declared emergency zones. The "Niño current" is causing all this in the south of Perú.
Usually this happens in the north of Perú but this year the south is being hit hard. The Lord protected us and most of the believers we know but some other folks lost a lot. Several high apartment buildings had to be evacuated and some of our believers had to leave their apartments and go live with family members until all this mess gets cleaned up. The buildings were left without electricity and running water. It truly was a disaster and we pray it won't happen again, but we need to be ready, trusting in God's care.for whatever disaster.
The beginning of the 2026 school year was put off to this coming Monday, March 9 for the private schools and March 16 for public schools. We praise the Lord for our dedicated teachers and are thankful that several more students are registering these days.
Also we are eternally grateful for those of you who are helping with scholarships for the needy students who cannot pay fees. Our administrator, Marino Catacora, is careful to grant these scholarships to those who do the best they can and are really grateful. So thank you for your prayers and help for Ebenezer Christian school. Please pray it will always be a light for the Lord here in Arequipa.
About Bob's health, it is not good these days. He had his 19th session of chemotherapy, but it is no longer effective and the cancer has advanced. The Lord is leading in all this, He provided a buyer for Bob's car who paid us well. The Dr. had prohibited Bob to drive, but Bob didn't always obey. Now however, it is necessary. Please pray for Bob and for wisdom for us, we want to do God's will and be where He wants us to be.
Thanks for praying for our daughter, Terri Raimundo, recently widowed, who also wants to do God's will. She has several decisions to make and indeed does need prayer. We are so very thankful for all of our children, grand and great grandchildren. They love the Lord and they love us!
