Hi again!

You may have heard on the news about it being warmer in Perú than usual for winter. Well, that is in Lima, and way north of here!! Here in the south of Perú and especially in our mountain areas it is colder than usual for winter!

Last time I told about our trip to the highlands, where it really was cold, and we slept in the "ice box" (van, where the water freezes in the bottles and the ice is all over the windshields and roof in the a.m.) This was Cayarani, where Nicolas works. They had their first baptism. Praise the Lord the new believers are growing in the Lord and Nicolas is getting more new ones ready for another baptism up there. We won't be going, but we do pray for God's work there. Actually the "roads" were too hard on the van again. Bob had to get the 4WD and something with the suspension fixed. And to get it really fixed right would have cost much more than we can pay now. So he did get some used parts and it is supposedly "fixed" but it could be dangerous if it doesn't hold. So please pray for the van to keep going right. The problem really is the awful bumpy "roads" Bob takes the van on here.

In June Bob had a good trip to Pampacolca, and was able to encourage the believers there. Bob is having Bible studies with several individuals and groups here and it is hard for him to get away for many trips, but this teaching ministry here is very profitable. We need to see leaders raised up here. Thanks for praying for this!

Please keep praying for the school. Still no building license. The Municipality rejected the soil study they had required, - guess it wasn't done exactly right - so it has to be done again, or re - presented next week. To make it short, things don't happen on schedule in South America. But please please keep praying it will come out really soon! It should. We do praise the Lord for a good spirit in school. We had a good Father's Day sports day, with a barbecue, plus some opportunity to present some of God's Word. Yesterday and today the highschoolers had their retreat at a Christian camp about an hour's drive from here. They just got back and had a good time! Do help us pray that the messages they had in their devotionals there will have a lasting impact on their lives. We pray God will bring all these precious youth to know Him! Truly the school is an opportunity to reach this generation with God's message! We are thankful that a young fellow who was helping out in Velille with the Wenger family went along to the retreat and gave the devotionals! Thanks, Nels!!

Finally we ask you to pray for us and our national workers here. We are trusting God to continue to supply. Our personal support has been so very low, but we do keep up with our committments. We thank all of you who sacrifice to help us and the workers here.

Thanks so very much for sharing and especially praying for us and the Lord's work here. May God richly bless you!

Blessings and Love,
Noél for us
